Poetry Slam!

*Limit 20 poets; must be Evergreen Park students of high school age.* The entire community is invited to our first-ever poetry slam, hosted by Chicago Slam Works! The slam is a performance poetry competition where each poet has a 3 minute time limit to perform and original piece, scored by randomly-picked judges from the audience. All poets perform in the first round; the second and third round lineup is determined by the judges' scores. Scores are based on content, originality, and performance, with first, second, and third place winners.

Entry forms with complete rules are available at the library or online and are due no later than Thursday, May 3rd.
