What's Open, Closed During the Christmas Holiday?

Patch lets you know what businesses you can visit on Christmas and the day after.

Because Christmas falls on a Sunday this year, Monday, Dec. 26 is the observed Christmas holiday. This means Monday might not necessarily be business as usual. Check our list before you head out on your errands.

Metra follows the Sunday/Holiday schedule on Monday.

The regular Saturday train schedule will be in effect on Dec. 31, with the exception of trains departing after midnight on December 31st. Trains will be held at the downtown terminals until 1:15 a.m. to accommodate passengers attending New Years Eve events in downtown Chicago.
