South Side Theology on Tap Wraps Up with Dr. Terry Nelson-Johnson

This week, Dr. Terry Nelson-Johnson is presenting, “Truth Telling in Relationships - What Concept, What a Gift.”

As a teacher at Loyola Academy Jesuit High School for 18 years, Nelson-Johnson is the Founder of Soul-Play, LLC, and is the Dean of Faith Formation at Old St. Patrick’s Church in downtown Chicago. He speaks about adolescent sexuality and has created programs at schools in the Chicago area that teach the difference between sex and sexuality.

Nelson-Johnson has a masters degree from the Institute of Pastoral Studies at Loyola University and has a Doctorate of Ministry from the University of St. Mary of the Lake.

As the SSTOT series comes to an end, SSTOT committee member, Tom McNamara, said that he hopes to continue the spirit that he feels from going to each session by talking to other members about meeting more frequently.

“We are looking forward to starting a more consistent Young Adult Ministry program,” McNamara said, “Sometimes it can be difficult because students have to go back to school and I just want to talk to people and see what other things they would like to do.”
