Snow Rules to Know Around Evergreen Park

Make sure you aren't breaking any rules with your shoveling or where you chose to park if it's snowing.

You might consider falling snow beautiful, potentially problematic or both but, regardless, there are a number of things you need to know when it comes to Evergreen Park snow plowing.

Whenever two or more inches of snow falls within 24 hours in the village, all vehicles are required to comply with the following, according to the ordinances:

  • “All vehicles shall be parked on the even side of the street on even days and on the odd side of the street on odd days.
  • For the purpose of definition of this section, even and odd sides of street shall pertain to even and odd house numbers.
  • For the purpose of definition of this section, the term "day" shall mean that day during which the accumulation takes place by 7:00 a.m.”

It’s also against vilage rules to stop, stand, park or leave a vehicle unattended on streets designated “snow routes.”
