Locals Walk For a Cure in Relay For Life

A video recap of this weekend's Relay for Life.

This weekend's Relay for Life of Evergreen Park, Mt. Greenwood and Beverly was not just a fundraiser but a time for the community to come together and fight back against the disease that has claimed so many lives. The opening ceremony called participants to prepare themselves for a "16-hour life-affirming journey, simulating a day in the life of someone fighting cancer."

"In the last 100 years, we've learned that cancers thrive on silence, complacency and business as usual," Steve Duffy told the crowd at the opening ceremony. "However, today on this track, we are ready to make some noise, because silence won't finish the fight and action will."
