Meet Evergreen Park Patch's New Co-Editors

Meet your new editors and tell us what stories you want covered.

It's a bit of a changing of the guard here at Evergreen Park Patch. As former editor Rentia Young is , we are aiming to make the transition as seamless as possible.

Starting this week your favorite source for neighborhood news and information will be managed by Dan Lambert and Lorraine Swanson. We will work as co-editors and are very excited to get to know the site's regulars and explore new coverage opportunities.

We are not coming into this cold. We've worked alongside Renita since the site launched and had an inside look at everything that was going on in Evergreen. Our regular even gave us a crash course in Evergreen Park's best food options.

That doesn't mean we don't need your help. Feel free to reach out to us at anytime. We want to know what stories you think should be covered, what issues you care most about and how we can make the site even better.

Reach out to us at anytime:

Lorraine Swanson: lorraine.swanson@patch.com (708) 990-4905

Dan Lambert: Daniell@patch.com (708) 359-9877

In the meantime use the comment section to ask us questions or share your ideas for what we can do to make the site even better.

I always enjoyed reading the stories published on the EP Patch website. When they changed the format 6 months ago or so, I stopped reading it. It's too hard to follow stories and navigate through the website. I love Oak Lawn's Patch website- can EP change to look more like OL so that it's easier to navigate and search for stories? I know several people have mentioned the same thing. Thanks for all that you do!

I don't like the current format, either.

I think there should be less police blotter and home sales info (both are depressing)and more community stuff. Like tell us what classes are going on at the rec center on a daily basis and the fee. Or when does school start? What new restaurants and stores are opening soon. Even info from Beverly like the Ridge Run might be helpful to know. What bands are playing at Bourbon Street. You know...help us enjoy our community more.

We agree about the format. We don't like it either but there is not much we can do about it. We have lots of school features coming up, including when EP schools start. I'll also be driving around with my camera on the first day of school to catch all you parents doing your happy dance on the front lawn.
