Evergreen Park Holiday Events To Look Forward To

Get in the holiday mood with these fun local events.

 

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 1

‘A Dickens Christmas’

Evergreen Park’s annual celebration ‘A Dickens Christmas’ happens this Saturday, from 2 to 7 p.m. at Klein Park at 97th Street and Homan Avenue.

This Victorian Christmas event features strolling carolers, the Sounds of Christmas, sleigh rides, and Santa and LIVE reindeer.

Christmas Toy Drive

The 13th Annual Kevin Dowling "Christmas Is For Kids" Toy Drive featuring food, drink, entertainment and crafts takes place from  3pm to 8pm at Bourbon Street 3359 W. 115th St. in Merrionette Park.  No cost with donation of new toy.  Visit the Kevin Dowling Scholarship Fund for more informaiton, or call (773) 972-6264.

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9

Christmas Musical

Evergreen Park Community High school presents a tune-filled, Christmas music ‘Christmas by Remote Control.’ Performances at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 through Dec. 8; and at 2 p.m. Dec. 9. Tickets are $6/$5. Visit EPCHS for more information or call 708-398-1236.

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 15

Pancake Breakfast

Cub Scout Pack 3644 will be hosting a pancake breakfast open to everyone. The breakfast costs $5 for adults, $3 for children or $20 for families. Doors will be open from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 9358 S Homan Ave. 

Library Events

The Evergreen Park Public Library is hosting a variety of holiday events and programs for all ages. Special events include a Polar Express Party, wreath-making and Holiday Gifts with Chef Kate. For a full list of events and to sign up visit the library's website.
