Holiday Happenings in the Village this Weekend

Have Santa visit your home this year, pick up a few unique gifts and see a sacred concert. Here are a few things going on around the village this weekend.

The holiday season is finally here! If you're a big kid like me, then this weekend will almost be like an early Christmas for you. Plan a visit from the big guy and participate in Evergreen Park holiday happenings. Enjoy your weekend Evergreen Parkers!

1.

Starting today, Santa can visit your home for your little one to tell him what they want for Christmas. Call the Recreation Department at 708-229-3373 to schedule your visit.

Enjoy breakfast and a bake sale with the scouts. Come and have breakfast made for you by EP Scouts Pack 3644 Saturday between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Cost: $5 adults, $3 kids and $20 per family

Join the vllage during the Day for the annual Dickens Victorian Fest! From 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., kids can visit Santa, sip on hot chocolate, eat pizza, ride a sleigh hear beautiful singing and other fun winter wonderland activities. Mayor James Sexton will light the village Christmas tree at 6 p.m. Come one, come all!

An event that's been in the village for many years, the annual Craft Show features trinkets for all! Anyone who was searching for that special unique gift may come and see a collection of ornaments, jewelry, art, photographs of sports heroes and more.

When: Saturday, Dec. 3, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Sunday, Dec. 4 at 10 a.m.

The Most Holy Redeemer Scared Concert will be held on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 7 p.m. This year's concert will feature kids, hand bells, harmony, adults and more. All are welcome to attend!
