Gear-Up for the Holidays: Get Out!

Attend a few craft fairs, smash a few pumpkins and mingle with local businesses at the Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce's events. Here are a few things going on around the village this weekend.

Get geared up for the holiday season, because ready or not, here it comes! There are a few holiday bazaars going on, a chance to see a few American Girls and opportunities for you to support the local businesses with the . Enjoy your weekend Evergreen Parkers!

1.

The Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce will honor Geri Burek, President, CEO of South Division Credit Union, as 2011 Business Person Of The Year at its annual Autumn Mixer. The cost includes an ample assortment of appetizers with beer and wine (additional drinks available for a charge at the bar).

On Saturday, the Evergreen Park Chamber of Commerce is holding its 2011 Business Expo, in conjunction with the . Come out and support the school and local businesses.

The Evergreen Park Presbyterian Church is hosting a Holiday Bazaar and Bake Sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drop by to get a few fun holiday gift ideas.

Bring your pumpkins and get ready to smash! The Village is holding a Pumpkin Smash in the Hamilton B. Maher Community Center parking lot. Come and enjoy the fun!

Queen of Martyrs Altar & Rosary Society invites girls and their friends and families to experience the American Girl Fashion Show. This fun, engaging program showcases historical and contemporary fashions for girls and their dolls. Proceeds from the event will benefit the purchase of textbooks for school children.
