Diversity Dinners: A Southland Tradition Continues

Celebrate the rich diversity throughout the south suburban community over a meal during this special event.

People of all kinds of colors, beliefs, ethnicities, lifestyles and ages from across Chicago’s south suburbs will gather to break bread at various dinner tables throughout the Southland on April 25.

It’s part of the 16th annual Diversity Dinners—a Southland tradition where different types of people get together to embrace each other’s differences over a meal.

“It promotes positive communication between people who might not otherwise have a chance to sit down and converse with one another,”  organizer Kimberly Richardson said.

Anyone interested in attending a Diversity Dinner can register for free online until April 12. If you’d like to host a Diversity Dinner at your home, make sure to check “Yes” on the registration form.
