Christine Nuell Art Exhibition
When: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

In her "Plots and Plays: Laser Engraving" exhibit, Christine Nuell uses a computer and laser engraver to manipulate maps, diagrams and old engravings, many of which were originally created as scientific illustrations or have been altered to appear as if they were, to create a collage.
Cell Phone Novels for Teens
When: 4 p.m.-5 p.m.

The Evergreen Park Public Library will host Cell Phone Novels for teens, grades 6-12. Teens should bring their cell phone to help write a novel line by line. There is no charge, but registration is required.

The works of visual artist Nikkole Huss will be displayed from Thurs., Feb. 3 to Thurs., Feb. 24 at Saint Xavier University's SXU Gallery, located in the Chicago Campus' Warde Academic Center, 3700 W. 103rd St. Huss' art work will include Topographical terrain and Hubble imagery highlight. The Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery will host the O. Gustavo Plascencia Art Exhibition. Mystic, ritualistic and historic references are woven through the photo-based works that form part of his fictional, staged environments. All are welcome to attend.
