MONDAY, feb. 7

O. Gustavo Plascencia Art Exhibition "Collecting: Instantes e Instintos"

When: 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

The Robert F. DeCaprio Art Gallery will host the O. Gustavo Plascencia Art Exhibition. Mystic, ritualistic and historic references are woven through the photo-based works that form part of his fictional, staged environments. All are welcome to attend.

Village Board Meeting

When: 7:30 p.m.

Stay informed on your local government. At the next village board meeting, the board will rule on a grant application for $590,000 for the Senior Center project, among other items. See the for a complete look at the items up for discussion. Members of the audience are invited to speak during the open public forum. The board says to limit comments to three minutes.

TUESDAY, feb. 8

Italian Cuisine with Chef Kate

When: 6:30 p.m.

Where: , 9400 S. Troy Ave.

Adults can learn Italian Cuisine with Chef Kate at 6:30pm at the library.  $3 tasting fee.  Registration is required. Please call (708) 422-8522 to reserve yur spot.

Spirituality Group DVD Discussion

When: 6:30 p.m.

Where: The Center, 12700 Southwest Highway, Palos Park

This free spirituality DVD discussion program, led by Pastoral Director Chris Hopkins will take place at  on Tuesday,  Feb. 8, at 6:30 p.m. and Thursday, Feb. 10, at 10 a.m. The group will discuss “Humanity Acsending,” featuring Barbara Marx Hubbard. All are welcome to attend, however registration is requested by calling (708) 361-3650.

WednESDAY, feb. 9

CineVerse presents "Brigadoon"

When: 7 p.m.-10 p.m.

Daniel Miller: Altered Landscapes Art Exhibit

Moraine Valley Community College presents Daniel Miller: Altered Landscapes Art Exhibit in the Fine and Performing Arts Center. All are invited to attend.

FRIDAY, feb. 11

Visual Artist Nikkole Huss' works at SXU

When: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Where: , 3700 W 103rd St, Chicago, IL 60655

The works of visual artist Nikkole Huss will be displayed from Thurs., Feb. 3 to Thurs., Feb. 24 at Saint Xavier University's SXU Gallery, located in the Chicago Campus' Warde Academic Center, 3700 W. 103rd St. Huss' art work will include Topographical terrain and Hubble imagery highlight.
