Ribbon Cutting at New Meijer

Find out about the new Meijer opening and why you haven;t heard anything about vehicle stickers.

Today at 10 a.m. the new Meijer store will officially open with a ribbon cutting ceremony featuring store executives and Mayor James Sexton.

The superstore's grand opening events don't officially start until Thursday when giveaways, local radio personalities and makeovers will be offered to lucky shoppers.
The store employs just over 300 people and is a sprawling 156,000-square-feet.

Patch got a sneak peek of the inside of the store over the weekend and you can see all the pictures here.

Vehicle Stickers

Don't forget that your vehicle stickers aren't due in early summer like in years past. This year the deadline has shifted to Sept. 15. That's about two and a half months later than previously. The sticker applications are being mailed out on Aug. 1.
