Donate to the Village Pantry and Meijer Will Triple the Amount
If you make a $10 donation this Sunday while you check out at the new Meijer, a $40 gift card will be given to the Evergreen Park Village Pantry.
While the sounds of the ice cream truck might currently be drowning out any jingle bells, that doesn't mean we can't celebrate Christmas in July. What better way to get in the holiday spirit than by bringing cheer to your neighbors in need.
The Village Food Pantry is looking to stock there shelves and there are two easy ways you can help them do just that.
1. As we detailed yesterday, you can drop off donations Friday or Saturday at Evergreen Park Bank Group, 3842 W. 95th Street.
2. But a great way to get some cold hard cash to the pantry is by shopping at the brand new Meijer store on Sunday, July 28. For every $10 that residents donate at the Meijer checkout to the Evergreen Park Village Pantry, Meijer will match it in triplicate and convert what will become a $40 donation into a Meijer gift card which will then be donated to the panty. You need to fill out a donation card which are available at the Village Hall or Evergreen Park Public Library.
