Chocolate pudding made and let set up
16 oz. strawberries, washed and sliced
Whipped cream or Cool Whipped Topping
1.) In the base of a clear bowl or trifle dish, layer the brownies on the bottom. Drizzle some chocolate sauce over the brownies.
2.) Next, layer in your strawberries. Top that layer with half of your pudding. Than, half of the whipped cream, and than the rest of the pudding.
3.) Finally, finish the top with a bit of the whipped cream or topping and drizzle on more chocolate sauce.
Here is my recipe for homemade chocolate pudding:
Chocolate Pudding Yield: 6-8 servings
1 cup sugar 4 cups milk
½ cup baking cocoa 2 Tble butter
¼ cup cornstarch 2 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
1.) In a heavy saucepan, combine sugar, cocoa, cornstarch, and salt. Mix well. Gradually stir in the milk. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Let boil for two minutes.
2.) Remove from heat. Stir in the butter and the vanilla.
3.) Carefully pour pudding into individual dishes. Cover with plastic wrap. Make sure the top of the pudding is totally covered with the plastic. Chill in refrigerator until ready to serve. Serve cold.
