Village Announces Trick Or Treat Hours
Halloween is just days away. Make sure you know the Evergreen Park rules.
With Halloween less than a week away, Patch would like to remind you the rules for the evening. So put on your masks, dress up in your costume and have a safe, happy Halloween!
- For children under 18 years of age without a parental guardian, trick-or-treating will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
- For children under 18 years of age with a parental guardian, trick-or-treating will end at 8 p.m.
Mayor James Sexton reminds residents who don't want to participate in trick-or-treating to turn their porch light off so they won't attract children.
Trick-or-treating will officially end in the village of Evergreen Park at 8 p.m. Evergreen Park Police have been instructed to take into custody any children under 18-years-old out past the 8 p.m. curfew, and escort them to their parents or guardians.
Patch also wants to help Evergreen Park parents keep their kids safe this Halloween. Check back with us tomorrow for information regarding registered sex offenders in the area.

HA! We know who's closing up shop early. Have a happy Halloween, Ozzy! By the way, if you know a cute kid under 12 years old with a creative Halloween costume, post your photos to Patch! http://patch.com/A-nbT3 Thanks!

Book it Dano: 16:37, first kid showed up.
BTW, if kids are not supposed to accept candy from strangers, why are they allowed to trick or treat?
