Traffic Stop Leads Cops to Marijuana

Evergreen Park Police charged Marc E. Lambotte, 38, of Chicago with unlawful possession of marijuana. According to reports, he had one gram of marijuana. Police also charged him with failure to signal. At 4:59 p.m., tactical officers saw him fail to signal when he switched lanes on 87^th Street near Rockwell Avenue. After stopping him, police said they recovered marijuana from his pants pocket.

TUESDAY, MARCH 27

Police Charge Woman with Felony Retail Theft

Police said a woman took nine items valued at $269.68 from Walmart, 2500 W. 95^th St. According to reports, Javonna L. Bond, 29, of Chicago, was charged with felony retail theft at 9:53 p.m. Police said Bond had a previous conviction of attempted armed robbery. “That boosted it to a felony,” police said.

Man with Warrant Charged with Felony Retail Theft

Police charged Angelo Graham, 27, of Chicago with felony retail theft. According to reports, he took 29 electronics items valued at $726.65 from Walmart at 3:35 p.m. Graham was also charged with attempt at obstructing justice. He gave police a false name and date of birth “in an attempt to avoid prosecution on a valid warrant,” police said. According to reports, Graham was charged with a felony because of a previous robbery conviction.  

MONDAY, MARCH 26

Walmart Retail Theft

Rebecca Fox, 35, of Chicago was charged with retail theft. Police said she took 12 items valued at $257.73 from Walmart at 7:26 p.m.

The Writing’s on the Wall...of McDonald’s

According to police, a man damaged property at a fast food restaurant at 8:20 a.m., then caused a disturbance in front of customers. Police said Anthony L. Jones, 41, of Chicago caused a disturbance inside McDonald’s, 8715 S. Kedzie Ave. by yelling profanity and slamming a stick on the counter. According to reports, Jones then went to the men’s bathroom, wrote on the wall and stopped up the toilet. After he left, a male employee discovered all of the damage, police said, adding that he was the only person who had gone into the men’s bathroom at the time. Police charged Jones with disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property.
