Oak Forest's Alec Brown outpolled 10 others in voting for Southland Patch's MVP, Dec. 31-Jan. 6. He is now eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.

In voting for Southland Patch's MVP for Dec. 31-Jan. 6, who gets the biggest roar from the crowd?
Marist's Peter Andreotti won all three of his wrestling matches at the Lincoln-Way Central Mega-Duals. He also helped the RedHawks sweep past three foes, including host Lincoln-Way Central in a battle between two of the state's top-rated teams.
Oak Forest's Alex Brown won the 220-pound championship at the Leyden Invitational wrestling tournament. He also helped Oak Forest claim a second-place finish with 162.5 points.
Marian Catholic's Josh Cohn continues to play an important role for the Spartans. He scored 13 points in Marian Catholic's 65-42 boys basketball victory over Marmion.
Sandburg's Malek Harris continues to make up for lost time since returning to the Eagles' lineup. He scored 22 points and pulled down 10 rebounds in Sandburg's 49-43 boys basketball victory over Lincoln-Way East.
Andrew's Glorind Lisha can handle the ball, drive to the basket or take the big shot. He scored 15 points in the Thunderbolts' 57-44 boys basketball victory over Lincoln-Way North.

Hi this is regarding kevin white glad to know he was nominated for patch mvp it's just one problem friends and family didn't know at all, so we could not vote for him we all just found out about it jan 11. How do you know when someone is nominated? How can he be nominated again? That's to bad that happened.
