Oak Forest's Nour Salah outpolled 10 others in voting for Southland Patch's MVP, Dec. 10-16. She is now eligible for Patch Athlete of the Month honors.

Oak Lawn's Brooke Annerino scored 16 points and had four assists in the Spartans' 62-39 girls basketball victory over Morton. She added 17 points, three assists and three steals in a 57-51 loss to Hillcrest. Credit Oak Lawn High School
