Deanna: Do you attend all the Stagg volleyball matches? Or are you just a fan? The Chargers are having a great season, no?

Dan: Why is it that golf looks so easy and, yet, often ends up teetering on the impossible?

The game of patience and consistency with a lot of practice is difficult and sometimes frustrating. Hence the putter throw. One of lifes many challenges and the impossible to imagine hole in one is the crown jewel.

I play a little golf—never had a hole-in-one. My son aced a par-3 during a practice round with his high school team once, though. He still plays on occasion. And he finds it's a good way to make connections in the working world.

Chris: I have a feeling Kelly is going to be someone folks in and around high school golf get to know pretty well before she's done playing at Lincoln-Way East. I'm thinking all-state timber, no?

A couple of standout golfers have pulled out to a bit of a lead here. Who will win? Bettinardi or Sterling? Polls are open until 9 p.m. Thursday.
