The village of Evergreen Park says Cook County will be spraying for mosquitos in town Tuesday evening, weather permitting. The insecticide is harmless to humans and pets, but those with respiratory problems should take precautions.
Following a morning of thunderstorms and hazardous weather, Cook County will be spraying for mosquitos throughout Evergreen Park this evening.
Trucks will drive through alleys and streets from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Although the insecticide is completely harmless to humans and pets, the village urges those with respiratory concerns to take extra precautions. "Generally, the air is fine within a half-hour after the trucks pass," said the village.
At the most recent village board meeting, Mayor James Sexton said some mosquitoes in Evergreen Park have been tested positive for West Nile Virus, however, there have been no cases of people being infected.

I've only had one mosquito attack me, and that was back in March. It will be interesting to see if the recent rains brings 'em back. I sure do not miss them.

Thank goodness you only had one bite! Good question...we'll see if they come back. Let's hope not!
