Marist's Sophomore Geometry team finished first in the state competition. Congratulations students!
For the second year in a row, Marist High School Mathematics students have a unique claim to faim: Geometry Champions!
On Saturday, May 5, 2012, the Marist Geometry team finished first place in the annual Illinois State Math Finals at the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. This was the second year in a row that the team won the honor.
The Marist Sophomore Team includes:
Out of the 167 participants in the competition, highlights include James Costin finishing in 2nd place and Anna Scheiber placing in 3rd place.
Marist also performed well in other competitions.
Congratulations to the team, moderators Owen Glennon and Jeff Nicholson, and assistant coaches John Brekenfelder and Julie Kamper!
