It’s going to be a beautiful weekend so let’s have one last blast before the kids start school next week. Evergreen Park is hosting some great community events.

• Electronics Recycling Event
• 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, August 18
• Unload your unused electronics at the village-wide electronic recycling event. Take your old computers, TVs, fax machines and other electronics to Yukich Field.

• Summer Concert Series
• 6 p.m. Sunday, August 19
• The curtain falls on Evergreen Park’s FREE summer concert series with a great show featuring the City Lights Orchestra, under the direction of Rich Daniels at Klein Park.
• Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, blankets, refreshments and the insect repellent just in case.
