EPCHS Donates to Operation Care Package

Evergreen Park's National Honor Society transported thousands of items for Operation Care Package.

The Evergreen Park chapter of the National Honor Society recently wrapped up its’ Operation Care Package.

Students at Evergreen Park Community High School brought in sundry items to be boxed up and shipped to our men and women serving in the armed forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. NHS members transported thousands of items to Pizza-Man Pizzeria in Evergreen Park, the drop off point for Operation Care Package and literally filled their walk-in cooler with items.

Among the student-leaders of this project was senior and University of Illinois-bound Lauren Capizzi. Melissa Jeka, Alex Engraffia, Samantha Belanger, Pat Kennedy, and Julieanna Eiber also assisted in the project.
