Drunk Driver Hits Two Parked Cars: Police Blotter

Evergreen Park police reports, Oct. 27-29.

 

SATURDAY, OCT. 27

DUI on Homan

Cynthia Bonner, of Chicago, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. She was stopped at 2:17 a.m. She was stopped for a burnt out headlight in the 9900 block of Homan Avenue, police said. Bonner told police she thought she was on 111th Street, police said. The report says that she refused a breath test and was "unable to participate in any field sobriety tests."

SUNDAY, OCT. 28

DUI on Lawndale

Christina Broughton, 22, of Midlothian, was charged with drunken driving and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. At 3:25 a.m. she was driving near 97th Street and Lawndale Avenue when she struck two parked cars, police said. She was unable to explain to police what happened or take field sobriety tests, police said.

MONDAY, OCT. 29

DUI on Springfield

Declan Doyle, 34, of Alsip, was charged with driving under the influence. He was stopped at 12:20 a.m. in the 9500 block of Springfield Avenue for speeding, police said. When asked to provide his driver's license he handed the officer his wallet and said "here," according to police. He refused a breath test, police said.
