Candidates File Petitions for Village Posts

Monday first day to file nominating petitions for April 9, 2013 consolidated election. Sexton, Aparo seek re-election; Bosch not running for Evergreen Park Village Board.

 

Monday was the first day nominating petitions were being accepted to get on the ballot for the April 9, 2013 consolidated election. 

Two incumbents and one new candidate have filed to run for the Evergreen Park Village Board.

James Sexton is seeking re-election as mayor, and Catherine Aparo has filed for re-election as village clerk.

Trustee Jerry Bosch has decided not to run in the upcoming April elections. Dan McKeown has filed for his seat.

Evergreen Park village trustees run at large and are voted for by all residents in the village.

The library board has three full-term, six-year vacancies and two, two-year vacancies available.

No one has filed for those positions as of noon Monday. 

The Evergreen Park Elementary District 124 school board has four seats available in the election. The terms of Beth Amado, John Kennedy, Terry McDonald, and Bob MacDonald will expire in April.

Challenger Julie Egan has filed with the school district for one of those seats.

Evergreen Park Community High School District 231 has three seats available in the election. The terms of Raymond Trzeciak, Cheryl Pinotti, Shaun Murphy and Thomas Sinon are up in April.

Two incumbents have filed for re-election including Raymond Trzeciak and Shaun Murphy.

Wow, one person turned in their packet for School Board. Just more proof people love to complain, but when asked to do something it gets VERY quiet. Where are you guys now???? Bueller?? Bueller???
